TULA & TEPOTZOTLAN
An interesting excursion to ancient Tula, capital of the mighty Toltec empire, which flourished long before the arrival of the Aztecs. Visit includes the Ball Game court and the impressive Temple of the morning star, topped by the world-famous “Atlantes”, giant monolithic warriors standing guard, and the “Coatepantli”, an awe-inspiring wall of serpents. Next stop will be at Tepotzotlan, one of the mexican “Pueblos Magicos” (magic villages), for a visit to its colonial monastery (also known as "Museo del Virreinato"), where you will admire some of the world`s most magnificent baroque altarpieces, carved in wood and covered with authentic gold leaf.
