Day 1 – Chihuahua
Arrival to Chihuahua airport and transfer to the hotel located at downtown, and accommodation for the first night. Later, you will enjoy of a City Tour in Chihuahua visiting the Cathedral, Quinta Gameros, Museum of Pancho Villa and the Colonial Aqueduct. Enjoy leisure time this afternoon.
Day 2 – Chihuahua – Creel
Once you have breakfast at the hotel, we will depart to Creel recently named “Magic Town” for its distinctive style reflecting the ancient traditions and lifestyle of the Tarahumara community and also for its privileged geographical location known as the doorway to the Copper Canyon surrounded by mountains, lakes, forests and waterfalls located at the highest point of the Sierra Madre Occidental.
After your accommodations at the hotel in Creel you can enjoy of a tour in the region visiting the lake of Arareco, Valley of the Mushrooms named that way due to the shape of it rock formation, also the mission of San Ignacio and a traditional Tarahumara Cave. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to the hotel.
Day 3 – Creel – El Divisadero (Copper Canyon)
After Breakfast, you’ll get on board of the famous train El Chepe, toward to “El Divisadero” located in the heart of the Copper Canyon. The route takes aprox. 1.5 hours, and will give you the opportunity of admiring "the Loop", a 360° turn, considered an achievement in railway engineering. Arrival and transfer to the Hotel Divisadero Barrancas, It is an amazing building at the edge of the mountain, offering an incredible view of the canyon from one of the highest points, and also near to the famous train station of “El Chepe”. After check-in, there will be a guided walk to Mount Mogotavo, the Tarahumara cave lookout points, where you’ll be able to appreciate the forms of life of this indigenous people and the conjuction of the Copper, Urique and Tararecua canyons.
Day 4 - El Divisadero
After having breakfast at the hotel, you’ll enjoy a Guided walk through the 1.5 km scenic path that includes extraordinary lookouts to take pictures, hanging bridges, and handmade craft stands, until you arrive at the famous lookout Piedra Volada (a steep, rock cliff with a pointy edge; above it, a“balancing rock”), and the entrance to the Copper Canyon Adventure Park. Undoubtedly, these are the best views of the Copper Canyon. Free time to enjoy the park and its diverse extreme and adventurous tourist activities for visitors, of all age ranges (rappel, zip lines, ride in mountain bike, etc..).
It is suggested to take off a couple of hours to admire the spectacular views from the lobby bar of the hotel.
Day 5 – El Divisadero – Cuauhtémoc – Chihuahua
Breakfast, check-out, and departure to Chihuahua. On the way we will stop in Cuauhtemoc, home of the largest Mennonite Community in Latin America. Here you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of their farms and also their traditional wooden houses, where they produce a delicious home-made cheese, known in Mexico as “Mennonite Cheese”. Something you can’t miss. Drop off at the hotel and check-in.
Day 6 – Chihuahua
Breakfast and transfer to Chihuahua Airport.
