Holbox sport fishing is available at all levels and categories; from mini-fishing to deep sea fishing. In the area species such as grouper, hogfish, pompano and large snappers, among others, abound. On specific seasons it is possible to find particular species such as tarpon and snook. Fishing sites are 20 minutes to an hour away from the dock and have a depth which varies between 2 and 4 meters. The duration is 3 to 6 hours depending on the type of fishing you want to do.
